Errata: Frequency ratio measurement of 171Yb and 87Sr optical lattice clocks

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We correct the errors in the uncertainty budget. The determined ratio (ν Yb/ν Sr) is corrected to be 1.207 507 039 343 341 2(17) with a fractional standard uncertainty of 1.4 × 10−15.

After the manuscript was published [1], we found some errors in the calculation of the correction and the uncertainty of the measurement. The uncertainty budget of the measurement should be corrected as follows (Table 1 ).

Table 1. The fractional uncertainties and corrections of the Sr OLC, Yb OLC, and the frequency ratio measurement. The asterisks represent the value depending on the measurements.

The frequency ratio is also revised to 1.207 507 039 343 341 2(17) from the previous value of 1.207 507 039 343 340 4(18). The corrected value still agrees with the Boulder result within their uncertainties. All conclusions discussed in the manuscript remain unaltered by this correction.
