Rigorous formulation of surface plasmon-polariton wave propagation along the direction of periodicity of a one-dimensional photonic crystal: erratum

Abstract

A typographical error in an equation and a computational error in field profiles of our recently published paper J. Opt. Soc. Am. B 35, 2957 (2018) [CrossRef] are corrected in this erratum.

Square brackets in Eq. (25) of Ref. [1] were misplaced. The correct equation is

[{\underline{\underline{M}}}^{(p)}] = [[t^{(1)}] [t^{(2)}], \dots, [t^{(2 N_{t} + 1)}] \begin{matrix} - [{\underline{\underline{Y}}}_{e}^{(p)}] \\ - [{\underline{\underline{Y}}}_{h}^{(p)}] \end{matrix}] .

A computational error in computing fields in the metallic partnering material was detected in Figs. 4, 5, and 8. The corrected figures are provided here. This does not affect the results and conclusions presented in our paper. We regret the error.
