In our previously published paper [1], we derive an analytical expression of the field-overlap of a Gaussian beam with a simplified surface plasmon field in Appendix A. Equations (A7), (A9), and (A16) have minor errors of factors of 2. Equation (A7) should read
where the arguments of the exponential and complementary error function are corrected. Equation (A9) should read and Eq. (A16) is nowThe main result of the field-overlap derivation, given by Eq. (A18), is expressed correctly in the original paper [1]. The analysis and conclusions which use the derivation are thus unaffected by the corrections.
