Abstract

A correction is given for an equation in [J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 31, 89–100 (2014) [CrossRef] ].

The negative sign (−) after the second equal sign (=) in Eq. (48) of [1] is erroneous. The correct version of that equation is as follows:

[\begin{matrix} A^{(3)} \\ B^{(3)} \end{matrix}] = - [Y^{(3)}] {[Y^{(1)}]}^{- 1} [\begin{matrix} A^{(1)} \\ B^{(1)} \end{matrix}] = [T] [\begin{matrix} A^{(1)} \\ B^{(1)} \end{matrix}] .

No other equations or numerical results are affected. We regret the typographical error.
