Abstract
Some preliminary results are reported for recuperated hollow cathode lamps in a demountable system as used in atomic absorption spectrometry. The lamps recuperated consisted of the following elements: magnesium, aluminum, chromium, copper, zinc, and selenium. Each lamp was cut open, modified according to its requirements, and mounted in a demountable system. The sensitivities and emission spectra of each lamp were compared with their commercial equivalent.
