Abstract

In connection with studies on low melting organic salts, we had occasion to examine the optical absorption spectrum of CoBr4=. In addition to the usual d-d spectra, we were also able to see some of the charge-transfer bands of this ion by utilizing the properties of the fused salt solvent.
