Simulation of anisoplanatic lucky look imaging and statistics through optical turbulence using numerical wave propagation: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We present an erratum to our previously published work [Appl. Opt. 60, G19 (2021) [CrossRef]  ] that corrects errors in the body of the paper. The corrections do not affect the results and conclusion of the original paper.

In Section 2.B of [1] the authors mistakenly stated that the work in [2] used a three parameter gamma distribution to model the root mean square phase. The three parameter gamma distribution was in fact used to model the phase variance in that work. We kindly thank Dr. Szymon Gladysz at the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation IOSB for pointing out the inconsistency.

The error does not influence the results and conclusions of the original paper.
