Practical depolarization-ratio-based inversion procedure: lidar measurements of the Eyjafjallajökull ash cloud over the Netherlands: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

In a previous publication [Appl. Opt. 52, 2394 (2013)], incorrect expressions appeared in the Appendix A. These errors are corrected here.

© 2013 Optical Society of America

The following errors appeared in Appendix A of [1]. These errors are listed and corrected below.

  • 1. A typo appeared in the published version of Eq. (A1). The “10” should, in fact, be a “1.0.”
  • 2. A term is missing in the published version Eq. (A6). The equation should be
    δt,o=PPCr1.
  • 3. Equation (A7) is incorrect. The correct expression is
    Pt=C(i+i)=P,o+Cr1P,o.

These errors have no bearing on the results shown in the rest of the paper.
