Water droplets of 89.5 μm illuminated by a Continuum PIV laser sheet and collected by a LaVision CCD at an angle of 120 deg. Fringes are due to the interference between the light reflected by (p=0), and after three passes (p=3), inside the drops. For details, see Hess, pp. 9523–9528.
