Abstract
Radiance simulation can be achieved by selecting materials with the required infrared characteristics. The relationship between the corresponding quantities on the simulator target and the real target is established to assist in the design analysis. From it, those design parameters which critically affect the performance of the simulator and its sensitivity on the error in the simulating temperature are obtained.
