Abstract
This paper describes the construction of nomographs for the following calculations: (1) peak irradiance of a Gaussian beam as a function of the total power and the beam radius; (2) power through a circular aperture; (3) transformation of a Gaussian beam by a lens. The same nomographs can be used for other problems too, such as the determination of the radius of a Gaussian beam.
