Abstract
Satellite-borne solar occultation measurements can achieve extraordinary measurement sensitivity of the atmosphere due to the strength of the radiation source, the long sample path offered by the measurement geometry, and the extra-atmosphere "zero measurement" that occurs within seconds of the atmospheric measurements.
