Linearization of Optical Channels with Stokes Vector Direct Detection

Abstract

Aiming to improve the performance of short-reach optical communications, Stokes-vector direct detection (SV-DD) is proposed to realize linear complex optical channels. In this paper, we present the principle and discuss the performance of SV-DD modulation format.
