Abstract
In recent years there has been increased interest in the assement of motion perception in ocular disease. Researchers have demonstrated abnormalities of motion perception in retinitis pigmentosa (Turano, 1991), glaucoma (Silverman et al., 1990; Bullimore et al., 1991), optic neuritis (Regan et al., 1991), cerebral lesions (Vaina et al., 1990) and amblyopia (Buckingham, 1991). This motivated us to develop a simple but versatile clinical motion test which would be accessible to clinicians.
