Quantum advantage in noise sensing of additive-noise channels

Abstract

Classical strategies for sensing the noise level of an additive-noise channel cannot provide energy-enhanced precision. Two-mode squeezed vacuum probes enable energy-enhanced precision and approach a universal lower bound on it.
