Abstract
Laser-induced incandescence/laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LII/LIBS) was used to analyze silicon nanoparticles within a microwave plasma reactor. Observed atomic emission lines correlate with thermal excitation of evaporated species, which verifies the nanoparticle evaporation model.
