Abstract
Radio-transparent multi-layer insulations (RT-MLI) are widely used in low-temperature detectors. Here we measured the transmission characteristics of XPS-type RT-MLI and EPS-type RT-MLI with different configuration. Comparing with the result on blocks, we confirm the reflectivity of XPS is lower than EPS between 1 to 4 THz. Thus XPS appears better for radio-transparent multi-layer insulation (RT-MLI) when the number of layers is large.
