Abstract
We proposed a technique of synthetic scanning holography in which a vertical-bandwidth-limited hologram and a horizontal-bandwidth-limited hologram are respectively acquired and combined as a synthetic hologram. By this way the vertical resolution of the reconstructed image is as good as the horizontal resolution, and the total scanning time is one eighth of the conventional scanning hologram.
