Abstract
Many combustion processes are characterized by the complex interaction between different transport processes and numerous chemical reactions. For a detailed study of the relevant processes and a comparison with mathematical models, nonintrusive in situ measurements of concentration and temperature are necessary. The high spatial and temporal fluctuations of turbulent flow fields even require multidimensional single shot diagnostics.
