Abstract
Conventional frequency stabilized diode laser systems all have complex optoelectronic feedback loops.1,2 The technique we present is considerably simpler than other schemes and does not require external reference cells or electronic feedback. Potential applications of this system include coherent optical communications, optical sensors, and the pumping of laser excited optical filters.3,4 Our technique is based on our recently developed Faraday anomalous dispersion optical filter.5
